4th of July

We’re in the process of gearing up for the 4th of July weekend, so I was thrilled when this party from host-it notes popped into my inbox. Erin says, “We grilled up polish sausage and marinated chicken breasts, and my aunts arrived with side salads in hand.  A friend scooped out a watermelon to make room for her tropical and american berry fruit salad.  The striped paper products are from IKEA, including the banner—I wrapped triangles of cardboard with striped wrapping paper then topped it with letters.  I was channeling a bit of a State Fair theme, so I served up lots of lemonade, decorated with fresh fruit and homemade preserves, and made my own funnel cakes, topped with cherry filling or homemade blackberry jam. ” Love it!
